Finding products to promote isn’t quite as simple as you might think.  The common misconception is that you have your niche, you’ve designed your website and you have lots of quality SEO content on there.  There’s only one thing left to do, find some affiliate products to promote.

Whatever niche you’re working in, there are countless affiliate products to promote.  The problem isn’t finding A product to promote, it’s finding a GOOD product to promote.  In this article I’m going to show you how to find products to sell online, that will also help and support your customers.

What do you want to promote?

Obviously you want to promote products that are congruent with your niche website.  If your website is about dieting, you don’t want to start promoting exercise equipment, although dieting and exercise are closely related, an exercise bike would look out of place on a dieting website.  However what would be acceptable would be a dieting plan with exercise elements included as part of the plan.

When choosing a product to promote you want to find one that is popular and has a great reputation.  Don’t get carried with how much money you can hopefully make from the product. If you’re not prioritizing your customers satisfaction and installing a sense of trust in them, you’re making things much more difficult for yourself.

Do you have confidence in the product?

On a personal note I would never promote a product to my customers unless I had full confidence in it.  If you take your business seriously and you care about your customers you will always take pains to promote top quality offers to them.

It’s important that your customers can sense your integrity and your commitment to them.  You want your customers to treat you like gravity, every step they take hits the ground running.

When you develop that trust with your customers that will in time be rewarded with loyalty.  This is something that shouldn’t be taken for granted, if you treat your customers with respect, they will return to you over and over again.

Is the product ethical?

As I touched on before, when choosing a product to promote to your audience you want to make sure it has a good reputation, that it actually works and your customers will benefit from it.

Obviously there is no perfect product that will work for absolutely everyone, but you want most of your customers to be satisfied.  The quality of the product you’re promoting should almost speak for itself, you don’t want fake reviews or too much hype.

If you adopt an attitude of responsibility and a duty of care for your customers, your desire to present the best to them will be natural.  Your customers are now in the same position you once occupied. You know what it was like desperately searching for something that was the right fit for you.

You remember how it felt to make the wrong decision and purchase something that wasn’t right for you or you were scammed out of your hard-earned money.  Give your customers as much information as possible so they can make an informed decision.

Will this help your customers?

Your top priority is your customers satisfaction and happiness.  Put yourself in your customers position and ask yourself:-

  • How will this help me?
  • What difference will this make to my life?
  • Is this sustainable?
  • Will I be satisfied even If something better comes along?

Ask yourself these questions because this is what will be important to your prospective customers.  I’ve placed a lot of emphasis on the satisfaction of customers because they are the lifeblood of your business.

Have you made the world a better place?

It’s probably safe to say that you’re not going to get the Nobel Peace prize for saving the world from going to war and you’re probably not going to come up with a cure for the common cold… if you do then, well done good stuff, keep up the good work.

However, if by some minor miracle you’re able to help just a few people solve a problem, alleviate a painful situation, change a life in some minor way, you my friend have made the world a better place.

Give your customers what they need to improve their life and they in turn well support you and help you to improve your life, reciprocity is the wonderful thing.

Committed to your success,

Justin.
